Mom always wanted me to be an engineer. As a child, I would get chemistry and erector sets – but in my heart, I always wanted the colored pencils and drawing paper.
Fast-forward 10 years, I changed my college major from Chemistry to Art. My loving, supportive parents were terrified, but my world blossomed! The Macintosh had just come on the scene and it married the technical to the artistic – I knew I had found my passion.
After a corporate job in graphic design, then a freelance career – motherhood followed. While creating greeting cards for my company, I was commissioned to create illustrations for several clients. More and more followed. Before you knew it, I was doing less layout and more illustration – and I liked it!
My artwork was seen by Jerrod Blandino, co-owner of Too Faced Cosmetics. We have been working together for almost ten years now. Time flies when you are working with the best.
My dream is to someday travel the country in an Airstream trailer with my family while creating happy, joyful illustration that brings a smile to your face. So next time you see a crazy redhead towing an airstream down the highway, make sure to honk and wave!
